Warehousing and Shipping
As the manufacturing arm for our clients, the accurate receipt and prompt shelving of materials, the secure storage of those items and the accurate and timely reporting of both raw materials and finished goods is mission critical. Utilization of computerized records, an on-line inventory locator system, individual item tracking sheets, and periodic cycle counting provide for accountability of all materials.
EchoData's warehousing services consists of four main areas: Receiving, Warehousing, Shipping and Inventory Control. Stringent controls are in place in all areas to ensure the integrity of inventory.
- Receiving: includes the physical handling of products; the checking of the shipping manifest against materials received, shelving in the appropriate storage area and adjusting of inventory records. Clients may also require additional weigh counting of materials or inspection to insure shipment integrity from vendors.
- Warehousing: includes the secure storage of raw material components and finished goods. Storage may be on shelves for pick, pack & ship items or on pallets for raw materials. Certain inventory items with low usage may be stored at our offsite warehouse location.
- Shipping: includes the picking, packing, manifesting and tracking of all required shipments to specified destinations.
- Inventory Control: provides accountability for all movement of inventory items (receiving, storage, production and assembly, fulfillment and disposal). EchoData conducts periodic cycle counting of raw material components and all finished goods. Clients may request 100% cycle counting of raw materials for an additional charge. EchoData assumes complete responsibility for all EchoData purchased inventory or finished goods and raw material components which have been 100% weigh counted by EchoData at receiving.
